Steven A. Thompson, M.D.

Steven Thompson received his M.D. degree from the University of California, Davis in 1981. He 
completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado in 1985. Steve joined Tahoe Forest Women's Center in August 1985. 

He is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Steve enjoys practicing medicine in a small community where he can get to know his patients and provide more personal care.

Peter J. Taylor, M.D.

Peter Taylor received his M.D. degree from the University of California, Davis in 1981. He completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Connecticut in 1985. Peter worked for the Public Health Service for two years, then joined Tahoe Forest Women's Center in November 1987. 

He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the North American Menopause Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Shawni L. Coll, D.O.

Shawni Coll received her D.O. medical degree from Pomona. She finished her residency in OB/GYN in Seattle, Washington and joined our practice in Truckee in July, 2004. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She sees all our obstetric patients, sees GYN patients for annual exams, PAP smears, contraception, bladder problems, menopausal problems, hormone replacement and does GYN surgeries. 

Janet Brooks, RNP

Janet Brooks is an OB/GYN and Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Nursing in 1984. She went on to get her Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland Graduate School of Nursing in 1995. 

She provides prenatal and postpartum obstetrical care and gynecological and women's health care, including physical exams, PAP smears, contraception and hormone replacement therapy.

Betsy Taylor, R.D.

Betsy Taylor is a registered dietitian who trained at the University of California, Davis and the University of Connecticut. She provides nutritional counseling for our pregnant women and special appointments for other nutritional problems or concerns such as diabetes, hypertension, weight loss or high cholesterol.
