All three doctors are trained in operative laparoscopy, including removal of ovarian cysts and tumors, tubal pregnancies, laparoscopically assisted hysterectomy and other complex procedures. We do routine abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, surgery for repair of bladder, rectal and vaginal prolapse and for urinary incontinence. Our doctors are now doing some newer surgeries for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence involving the use of special synthetic meshes and grafts. These procedures add to the options for helping women with pelvic prolapse. We also perform office hysteroscopy for evaluation of bleeding problems and endometrial ablation, including the Novasure procedure which can be done in the office with local anesthetic, as an alternative to hysterectomy for unresponsive bleeding problems. These procedures are in addition to the usual gynecologic surgeries that we can perform, such as D&C's, tubal ligations and other minor outpatient surgeries.


All of our surgeries are done at Tahoe Forest Hospital. The hospital has a state-of-the-art surgery center, including a busy outpatient surgery department. We pride ourselves in keeping up-to-date on current gynecologic surgical procedures and being able to perform such surgeries in a rural hospital, therefore offering these options to our patients.
